In Philadelphia Magazine’s October 2006 article, “The 50 Best Places to Live in Philadelphia,” Radnor Township was listed in the top five best of all townships in the Philadelphia region. Statistics such as population density, minutes to Center City, number of violent crimes, and average SAT scores were used to classify township rankings. The neighborhoods of Radnor Township include Devon, Radnor, St. David’s, and Wayne. Sporting a vibrant corporate landscape all its own, the Township offers Main Line residents the convenient option of working closer to home. Philadelphia commuters, however, still find convenient city access.Radnor is one of the most affluent regions of the Main Line, with an average per capita income that more than doubles the statewide average. Along with great financial prosperity, Radnor Township hosts one of the finest school public systems in the nation. Houses in the area range from the Victorian to Colonial to interesting modern designs. Radnor is perhaps the most scenic of the Main Line Townships thanks its natural preservation efforts and beautifully landscaped grounds. There are numerous parks, playgrounds, golf courses, and athletic fields in addition to convenient local shopping and fine dining.
