Saint Davids - Real Estate
Located in Delaware County, Saint David’s is a part of Radnor Township about 15 miles from Philadelphia. In Philadelphia Magazine’s October 2006 article, “The 50 Best Places to Live in Philadelphia,” Radnor Township was listed in the top five best of all townships in the Philadelphia region. Statistics such as population density, minutes to Center City, number of violent crimes, and average SAT scores were used to classify township rankings. St. David’s high end and fast growing residential area, located on the Main Line, is also very family and commuter friendly with convenient access to Rt. 1 (City Line Avenue) and I-476.Famous for its 18th century stone-foundation houses, babbling brooks, and gentle, rolling sideroads, Radnor is one of the most scenic and affluent regions on the Main Line. The community was named for St. David’s Church, an 18th century church in the area that was in turn named for St. David, the patron saint of Wales (the country of origin of many of the area's first European settlers).
This quiet residential haven shares a zip code (19087) with the adjacent community of Wayne, Pennsylvania. In addition to convenient local shopping and fine dining, there are numerous parks, playgrounds, golf courses, and athletic fields available to St. David’s.
