As an example of high school excellence, in Philadelphia Magazine’s October 2006 article, “The 50 Best Places to Live in Philadelphia” the Main Line’s Conestoga High School was picked as the #1 High School.

Radnor Township
Radnor’s schools have a history of being recognized for their excellence. In 1996, Radnor High School was among 266 schools nation-wide that were named blue ribbon winners by the U.S. Department of Education. Radnor High School was selected for “excellence in teaching, student achievement, leadership and parental involvement.” In 2001, Radnor Township School District earned a Governor's Award for Environmental Excellence for Radnor Elementary School. And, in 2003, Radnor Middle School was named a winner in the No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon Schools Program!The Radnor Township School District has three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. The district offers a comprehensive program for more than 3,000 students. Curriculum renewal is now underway, with identification of Standards in all content areas. Results of the Comprehensive Testing Program, published by the Educational Records Bureau, indicate that Radnor students consistently score above national norms at every grade level on every section of the test. Tredyffrin Township
Tredyffrin Township was named the “Place with the Best High School” in Philadelphia Magazine’s October 2006 article, “The 50 Best Places to Live in Philadelphia,” in which it was ranked number 6. Statistics such as population density, minutes to Center City, number of violent crimes, and average SAT scores were used to classify township rankings. Conestoga High School in Berwyn, the school to which the article refers, was selected as the #1 High School in the entire Region. Conestoga offers 26 of the 32 available AP classes and retains a 15:1 student-faculty ratio. The results are reflected in the school’s high SAT scores, making Conestoga High School one of the highest-ranking open-admission high schools in the country.The district contains five elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school. Conestoga High School affords students opportunities in athletics, and fine arts in addition to a wide range of after school clubs.
